Leadership Breakfast | When Generations Collide: How HR is rising to the challenge of the multi-generational workforce

Hampton Manor, Solihull

Today’s workforce is multi-generational. A workforce can be made up of five different generations, whose life experiences shape their personal values and, more importantly, what they want to get out of their career. Managing so many different generations is unprecedented in the world of work and has left many businesses wondering how best to adapt.

Millennials now outnumber all other generations in the workplace and soon they will dominate management positions too. Millennials believe that everything is accessible and have goals that older generations did not aspire to. Generations have always struggled to relate to one another, but that struggle is exacerbated – as never before – due to seismic technological change.

We will be joined at the event by Erica Leyshon, Head of People & Organisational Development at Kuehne + Nagel, and Gemma Sole, Digital & Client Engagement Director at School for CEOs to discuss the ways in which, collectively, the HR community can embrace the opportunities and handle the challenges that the multi-generational workforce brings.
